Detailed Itinerary of 7-Day Uganda Gorilla Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Arrival in Uganda – Welcome to Your Safari Adventure
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our safari guide for your 7-day journey through Western Uganda. Enjoy a relaxed transfer to your lodge near Entebbe to unwind after your flight and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Shoebill Stork Expedition in Mabamba & Transfer to Kibale Forest
Start your morning with a special excursion to Mabamba Swamp, home of the prehistoric-looking Great Shoebill Stork. Glide through the channels in a traditional canoe with an expert guide who helps you track this remarkable bird.
Later, begin your scenic journey to Kibale Forest, famous for its high primate population.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale & Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel
After breakfast, head to the Kibale Forest trailhead for a thrilling chimpanzee trekking experience. Kibale is known as Uganda’s “primate capital,” hosting 13 primate species.
After your trek, continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where you’ll spot hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, and abundant birdlife.

Day 4: Ishasha Game Drive – Search for the Famous Tree-Climbing Lions
This morning, drive to the southern sector of the park—Ishasha, renowned for its tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a game drive as you search for these rare big cats and spot other wildlife such as elephants, topis, and buffalo.
After lunch, continue your journey to the misty Bwindi Mountain Forest, home of the endangered mountain gorillas.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi – The Ultimate Wildlife Encounter
Wake up to the sounds of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. After an early breakfast, meet your trekking group and ranger-guide for a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking adventure. Spend an unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat.
After your trek, transfer to a lodge overlooking the Ishasha plains for scenic views and evening relaxation.

Day 6: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park & Afternoon Game Drive
Depart for Lake Mburo National Park, known as Uganda’s “zebra magnet.” Arrive in time for lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive to spot zebras, warthogs, impalas, topis, and buffaloes.

Day 7: Morning Safari Walk & Transfer to Entebbe
Begin your final day with a refreshing safari walk through Lake Mburo’s rolling savannah. Visit a hyena den and look out for leopards, zebras, waterbucks, and various bird species as the park awakens.
After breakfast, drive back to Entebbe, arriving in the afternoon. You may catch an evening flight or choose to overnight in Entebbe for a next-day departure.
